The Toolbar takes up too much space. How can I make it smaller?
There are two ways to make the Toolbar smaller. If you want to keep all of the functionality of the Toolbar, click on the blue ACSi ToolBar logo to the left of the search box and select "Customize...". Uncheck the box that says "Show Text Labels for Buttons". Then select "Narrow" for your search box width. With these options selected, you will see only icons on the buttons in your Toolbar.

Popup Blocker

What is the Popup Blocker and how does it work?
The Popup Blocker gets rid of annoying popup ads by preventing most popup ads from being displayed by your browser. Websites often use Javascript to load popup ads while you are browsing a site. When loaded, these scripts open another page, most often when you leave the page by clicking a link or closing the browser window. The Popup Blocker detects and disables most of these scripts. [Top]

Will the Popup Blocker block all popups?
ACSi ToolBar's Popup Blocker should block most unwanted popup ads. If you still receive popups, a possible explanation is that spyware has been installed on your computer. Spyware, or ad software, launches popups from your own computer without your knowledge. You may have intentionally or inadvertently installed such programs on your system. The ACSi ToolBar's popup blocker does not block popups generated by these third-party programs. [Top]

I already have a popup blocker. Can I use both simultaneously?
The ACSi ToolBar Popup Blocker has not been designed to work in conjunction with other popup blockers so we recommend that you uninstall or turn off any popup blocker that you currently have on your system. Or, if you're happy with the popup blocker you have, turn off the ACSi ToolBar's popup blocker feature by clicking the Toolbar pull-down menu, selecting "Customize...," and unchecking the box next to the Popup Blocker option. [Top]

Why are legitimate popup windows being blocked?
The ACSi ToolBar popup blocker stops popups which appear without an action on the user's part. Legitimate popups are typically created as a result of a user's click. The popup blocker allows one popup window to open per user click.

To disable the popup blocker when clicking a link, hold the Control key while you click. [Top]

How can I view a popup ad that I want to see?
You can let a popup through by holding the CTRL key while clicking the link that generates a popup. Or, click on the "Popups Blocked" icon in the toolbar. The icon will change to read "Popups Allowed". Click the icon again when you would like to resume blocking popups. [Top]
